One of parameter factors affecting acid
hydrolysis includes solid/liquor ratio.
The solid/liquor ratios of 1:10, 1:15 and 1:20
were studied because it became difficult to
keep the solid suspending in the solution at a
ratio higher than 1:10 due to less liquid being
present. The reducing sugar contents were
enhanced by the increase fraction of liquid
solution (figure 4). The reducing sugar
content was increased from 15.0 to 35.5 g/l
when the solid/liquor ratio was increased
from 1:20 to 1:10 respectively.
